Case Study: Post-Event Content Production for AdTech Innovation Forum

1. The Challenge

StackAdapt, the leading AI advertising and orchestration platform hosted their annual Innovation Forum, a major one-day conference at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto. While the live event was a success, it was only a portion of the full activation. To ensure the most reach and exposure for all the innovation shared during the event, StackAdapt needed to extend the life of the content beyond the walls of TIFF.

They provided raw footage from the event, which included multiple speakers in formats including solo speaker, panels, and a fireside Q&A. The goal was to transform this raw capture into five polished videos, the first cuts requested within 4 business days, and after revisions, the final creative would be exported within three weeks.

2. The Solution

I worked with StackAdapt’s Marketing team on the end-to-end post-production workflow, turning the single-day stream into a suite of branded video assets. The focus was on “watchability” by cutting some content, removing longer pauses plus overlaying assets to help with momentum.

  • Multicam Editing: cut between three camera angles to keep the visual engagement high and hide cuts, ensuring the presentations flowed.
  • Asset Integration: overlaid slides and videos so viewers could clearly see the content being presented.

3. The Production Process

  • Narrative Clean-up: removed awkward pauses, some “ums,” and dead air to create a flow for each speaker.
  • Motion Graphics: added branded intro and outro bumpers to package each video as a standalone episode, applied lower thirds to identify speakers and their titles.
  • Highlights Reel: edited a highlights reel showing the event’s atmosphere and summarising key takeaways.

4. The Results

I delivered six high-quality assets ready for distribution: five full-length presentations (covering the Opening Keynote, Product Premieres, two Panels, and a Q&A session) plus one dynamic event highlights reel.

The clean, multicam edits and clear slide overlays significantly improved the viewer experience compared to a standard “single-shot” recording, providing the client with content for their resource hub.
